HTML Language
The HTML lang
attribute is be used to specify the language of a Web page or the content present inside an element of a Web page. It helps search engines and different browser to get information about the content present in the page.
W3C recommends the declaration of the primary language for each webpage with the lang
attribute inside the <html>
tag.
HTML Language Code Reference
The following lists contains two-letter ISO 639 language codes that can be used with the lang
(HTML) or xml:lang
(XML) attributes to indicate the language used in the webpage in HTML or XHTML document. Language codes are case-insensitive, so one need not to worry about the cases used.
