How to install VirtualBox on window 10

Prerequisites

• your system supports virtualization. if you want to check your system support virtualization or not, you can click here

Step 1: Download the VirtualBox

You can download the virtualbox from the official Oracle virtualbox website. virtualbox can be installed in linux based operating systems such as Ubuntu and other distributions. if you want to install on window download wndows version from here as i will be using the window 10 to install the virtualbox.

Step 2: Start the installation process

now you will get virtualbox setup file in you system. you can open the setup file by double clicking on the file to launch the setup Wizard. click on next to continue.

Step 3: Custom Setup Wizard

in custom wizard you can choose the installation directory of the virtualbox

if you wish to change the installation directory, you can change the installation directory by clicking on the browse button. Otherwise, you can click on next to continue.

Step 4: Custom Setup Wizard - Features

In this wizard, you will be able to choose the features that you want to install. you can choose the features by clicking on the checkbox. and other hand you can accept the default settings by clicking on the next button.

Step 5: Network Interface setup

at this point virtualbox warn you to install network interface that will communicate with installed vritual machines and the host operating system. click on yes to continue.

Step 6: Ready to install

now you will see ready to install. click on install to continue.

Step 7: Installation start

now you will see the installation start.

If you see Windows User Account Control Warning, click yes to accept and continue.

Step 8: Installation complete

after the installation is complete, you will see installation completion dailog box. click on finish to close the dialog box. if you checked start Oracle VM VirtualBox after installation VirtualBox will launch automatically after click on finish button.

Step 9: Launch VirtualBox application

Your newly installed virtualbox is now ready to use. you can launch virtualbox by search in your system.
